Here we have an unusual and very cool toy! A 3" scale fully electric 'Sentinel-esque' steam lorry. Essentially it's a mobility scooter in drag,.... and to that end there are a couple of batteries hidden underneath and a mobility scooter electric motor in the back driving the rear wheels. The front axle is ackerman steering actuated by a tiller rather than the steering wheel (which is a dummy), as is of course the boiler!
There are foot pedals for forward and reverse, (right foot for forward, left for reverse), and there are no brakes! That said, it doesn't need them. It's not particularly fast in it's present set up, so it's ideal for letting your 5 year old loose at a rally field or even in the back garden. As you can see from the photos it is large enough for an adult and will easily pull 2 or more. So a couple of kids can jump in and drive around for hours.
It's a little flimsy here and there, so not what we would call 'robust', but it has a steel chassis and certainly looks the part. A must have surely for the kids to bring them gently and easily into the hobby.
